Aquino appoints new judges
MANILA, Philippine–President Benigno Aquino III has appointed several judges to fill up vacancies in the lower courts in Manila, Makati, and seven provinces.
Executive Secretary Paquito Ochoa signed the one-page transmittal letter sent to Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno.
The judges were screened by members of the Judicial and Bar Council, who submitted a short list of candidates to the President.
The following are the newly appointed judges:

In the first level courts, the newly appointed judges are Judge Joselito A. Benedito of 1st MCTC, Pidigan-San Quintin-Langiden, Abra, and Judge Camilo A. Oliva of MTC, Claveria, Masbate.
