New way to mark ‘Undas’
MANILA, Philippines— Celebrating All Saints’ and All Souls’ Day need not be boring.
A memorial park in Taguig City has come to life as it hosted activities that one would not normally find in a memorial park.
The Heritage Park, the country’s premier memorial park, hosted a “Memorial Day Weekend” for Filipino families, visitors and guests who were treated with fun-filled activities as they pay tribute to their dearly departed.
The activities dubbed as “Celebrate Life” kicked off last October 31 with activities that includes balloon sculpting and caricature games, trick or treats for costumed kids, an outdoor film festival among others.
A 35- stall Food Hall which offered a variety of food and delicacies also satisfied the palate of families and visitors.
Last November 1, a Holy Mass and a blessing of the grounds were celebrated as part of a solemn Filipino tradition.
