Pilot unhurt after small plane crashes in Panabo City

panabo city mapMANILA, Philippines―A single engine agricultural plane crashed while conducting aerial spraying early Wednesday morning in a banana plantation in Panabo City, Davao del Norte, the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines said.

The pilot, Domenico Rafael Venuti, escaped unhurt, said CAAP.

The Agcat G1648 aircraft with flight registration number RP-R5388 crashed at 5:30 a.m. in the village of Kasilak, radio reports quoted CAAP Spokesman Eric Apolonio as saying.

Apolonio said CAAP would investigate whether the accident was a result of mechanical or human error.
