‘Inday’ maintains strength, to enhance southwest monsoon
MANILA, Philippines—As it maintains its strength Tropical Depression “Inday” is expected to enhance the southwest monsoon and bring occasional rains over several areas, the weather bureau said.
In its tropical cyclone bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said that Metro Manila, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Bicol Region, Western Visayas, and the provinces of Zambales and Bataan are set to experience occasional rains.
Pagasa added that “Inday” is not expected to make landfall.
“Inday” was last spotted at 610 kilometers East Southeast of Basco, Batanes with maximum sustained winds of 55 kilometers per hour and moving west northwest at a pace of 19 kph.
No public storm warning signal has been raised.
