Napoles to testify in plunder case with Bong Revilla

MANILA, Philippines – Alleged pork barrel scam mastermind Janet Lim-Napoles will testify for herself in her plunder case with Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. over the pork barrel scam.

Napoles’ lawyer Stephen David on Monday said they included Napoles as witness so she could defend herself from the allegations against her.

“The accused has the right to defend herself,” David said on Monday.

Among those to be presented as witnesses in Revilla’s plunder case are:

– Ronald John Lim, Napoles’ employee and nephew
– John Raymund De Asis, Napoles’ driver
– Janet Lim-Napoles
– National Agribusiness Corp. (Nabcor) officials Rhodora Mendoza and Shyr Ann Montuya
– two representatives from the Technology Resource Center
– two representatives from the National Livelihood Development Center
– Securities and Exchange Commission representatives
– Various photographers who took photos of delivered goods
– Any of the five Field Investigation Officer from the Ombudsman who signed the joint complaint against accused
– Chairperson or any of members of Special Panel who signed joint complaint

Revilla, Napoles and their co-accused face plunder and graft charges for their alleged involvement in the pork barrel scam.
