Cop killed after heated argument with a friend

MANILA, Philippines–A ranking policeman was shot dead allegedly by his pal after a heated argument over fixing Land Transportation Office (LTO) licenses in Lipa City, Batangas.

Senior Police Officer 3 Arthur Laurel, Police Municipal Executive Senior Police Officer (MESPO) of San Pascual Municipal Police, died on the spot inside the home of his friend and suspect Edwin Mission.

Police Inspector Mary Anne Crester Torres, Batangas Provincial Police information chief, said in a text message that Mission shot Laurel in his Sitio Tower, Marawoy residence around 8:30 a.m Sunday.

After gunning down his pal, Mission fled the scene.
