/ 09:13 AM September 08, 2011

AS part of its corporate social responsibility program, the Metropolitan Cebu Water District provided free potable water to the fire victims of barangays Tejero and Labangon  in Cebu City.

Two faucets were installed in each of the fire scene, which the victims can use for free for one month.

Israel Ortiz, officer-in-charge of the Service, Installation  and Disconnection Division, said MCWD always provides free water to victims of big fire within its franchise area.

More than 100 houses were gutted by a fire that hit barangay Tejero in July.  The following day, another fire broke out in Labangon that also gutted more than a hundred houses and claimed two lives.
