Dumaguete cancels classes due to earthquake

MANILA, Philippines – The Philippine Information Agency (PIA) on Tuesday announced over Twitter the suspension of classes in Dumaguete City for the next day, following a 7.2 magnitude earthquake felt in Visayas.

PIA Central Visayas said the Department of Education’s division in Dumaguete decided to suspend classes for Wednesday for the inspection of buildings possibly damaged by the intense earthquake.
