Police eye land dispute in Erice aide slay

Police are looking at land dispute as another possible motive for the killing of an aide of Vice Mayor Edgar Erice in Caloocan City on Tuesday.

Supt. Ferdinand del Rosario, Northern Police District investigation chief, told the Inquirer that the new angle cropped up after one of the persons interviewed in the case said that the barangay organizer was

embroiled in a territorial dispute with several parties.

Del Rosario, however, said they were still verifying these reports.

The 44-year-old sustained gunshot wounds in the face and chest, and was declared dead on arrival at Dr. Jose N. Rodriguez Memorial Hospital.
