One of the five men who escaped from Pasig City Jail on Friday had surrendered to the authorities while another had been recaptured, a police official said on Saturday.

Eastern Police District director Chief Supt. Miguel Laurel said Marlon Palacio, who had been detained on robbery charges, surrendered to an EPD team after his family sent feelers through Iyo Bernardo, a vice mayoral candidate in Pasig.

Another escapee, Patrick Espinosa, who had been charged with attempted and frustrated homicide, was captured by authorities in Tanay, Rizal province, late Friday afternoon.
