The Alaska Aces bolstered their bid of earning a better seeding in the playoffs as they knocked off Globalport Batang Pier, 101-95, last night in an out-of-town game of the 38th PBA Philippine Cup at the Dipolog City Sports Complex.
Tying the Meralco Bolts at the fifth spot with identical 7-6 (win-loss) records, the Aces hope to win their final assignment against the Petron Blaze Boosters to further boost their bid of playing in a best-of-three series instead of having to overhaul a twice-to-win disadvantage in the quarterfinal round.
