The Cebu Queen City United-Cebu Football Association (CQCU-CFA) will be fielding its strongest lineup as it opens its campaign in the Visayas eliminations of the Philippine Football Federation (PFF)-Smart Club Championships today in San Carlos City, Negros Occidental.

First up for CQCU-CFA is Baybay Leyte FC today and Ceres FC on Sunday.

Head coach Mario Ceniza said that they have two goals for this tournament. First is to qualify to the Round of 16 and second is to top the qualifiers. They need to win their first match today for a chance to qualify to the Round of 16.

Ceniza said sure starters for today are forwards Dan Villarico—the team’s top scorer in their United Football League campaign—Ariel Cahilig, Rene Menchavez and Joseph Rodriguez.

He also said he still cannot decide on his goalie. He has a choice between Charles Villarta and Benjamin Sanchez.

Of the 25 that they have brought for the team, only 18 will be able to play. Ceniza said he will be going for experience in deciding for his starting lineup.
