21st Jawad table tennis on

UNIVERSITY of Cebu’s (UC) might in table tennis will be tested as noted table tennis teams vie in the 21st Jawad Table Tennis Cup today at the Cebu City Sports Center.

UC will be competing in the tournament and is expected to face stiff competition, especially against the Table Tennis Association of North District (TAN) of Binondo, Manila, the Royal Paddlers of Bacolod and the Makati City team composed of national team members Richard Gonzales, Jose Ortalla and Arnie Uy.

UC is composed of Lemuel Agbon, Val Stephen Jaca and Daniel Jay Tormis. They will be coached by Jessica Honoridez.

A total of 16 teams will compete for the title with defending champion Hua Ching Foundation Cebu among them. /CORRESPONDENT DALE G. ROSAL
