Retired cop found dead at own home
MANILA, Philippines—Authorities are looking into the death of a former police man found with stab wounds inside his home in Quezon City Wednesday morning, police said.
Senior Police Officer 2 Randy Flores said Virgilio Peskesa, 54, was found dead inside his house at no. 10 Camia Street DRJ subdivision in Barangay (village) Sauyo in Novaliches, Quezon City around 8 a.m.
Radio reports said the victim, whose rank is still being verified by the police, was previously assigned at the Manila Police District.
His house was messed up when he was found lying face down by authorities who forced open his house after the victim’s family filed a blotter report Tuesday evening saying they can’t open the house.
They went back earlier Wednesday and found Peskesa dead.
No other information was available as responding officers are still conducting investigation in the area, Flores said.
