Policeman rapped for gun-toting
A NEOPHYTE policeman was accused of a pointing a gun at his former girlfriend in Lapu-Lapu City.
PO1 Rolando Tampipi, who is assigned Lapu-Lapu City station 4, was charged with grave misconduct before the National Police Commission.
The woman, who asked not to be named for security reasons, said she and Tampipi lived together for three years before their relationship turned sour.
The woman said she helped shoulder Tampipi’s expenses in police training and accompanied him during his oath taking.
The woman said Tampipi scolded her when she went to the police station last Aug. 6.
“Nganong apas apas man ka? Asawa tika? (Why are you following me here? Are you my wife?),” the woman quoting Tampipi as saying.
Article continues after this advertisementLast Aug. 12, the woman said she went to the house of Tampipi’s aunt to talk to him but the police man got irked and pointed a gun at her.
The woman reported the incident to the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group in Central Visayas where she sought help in filing a complaint against the policeman./CORRESPONDENT CHITO O. ARAGON
