MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) said a total of 30,157 passengers went through various ports of the country on Monday morning following the long weekend in observance of All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day.
In a report, the PCG said that 16,554 outbound passengers and 13,603 inbound passengers were recorded in all ports nationwide.
“There were 4,199 deployed frontline personnel, and 16 PCG Districts have inspected 176 vessels and 65 motorbancas,” it added.

The coast guard likewise said that their districts, stations, and sub-stations will stay on heightened alert until November 5 to manage the influx of passengers at ports.
To ensure public safety in terminals and areas of convergence, the Philippine National Police also dispatched more than 31,000 personnel. — Emmanuel John Arbis, intern
