Robel was thrown off his motorcycle about 100 meters away.

The gash on his neck may have been caused by the impact on the fence, said PO1 Raymund Bacordo of the Catmon police in a phone interview.

Hortelano, a resident of Tabogon town, northern Cebu, was detained at the Carmen police station pending the filing of charges of reckless imprudence resulting to physical injuries and damage to property.
