Claret School of Quezon City gets another bomb threat

MANILA, Philippines – Claret School received another bomb threat, disrupting activities on Thursday morning, the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) reported.

The latest threat happened just a few days after the school got the same warning on Monday, which prompted the administration to suspend classes and send students home.

Students were evacuated from the building, with some moving to the nearby Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish grounds. Around 10:30 a.m., some parents received information that classes were already suspended and students were being sent home.

According to the BFP, they received a report that a bomb threat hit the school located along Mahinhin Street in UP Village, Quezon City, at 7:35 a.m.

At 9 a.m., authorities declared the school clear of any explosives following a thorough check.

The school has yet to release a statement regarding the matter as of writing.

In October 2014, Claret School immediately evacuated students and suspended classes after receiving a similar threat.

The police later ruled that the threat was a hoax, as no bomb was found in the school’s vicinity.

Claret School caters to students at the preschool, elementary, and secondary levels.
