It also said the increased presence of law enforcers in the capital region aims to ensure the safety of travelers as vacation is anticipated to start for some schools on April 1.

“Comprehensive measures will be implemented to address the unique challenges posed by the convergence of Holy Week observance from March 25 to 31, 2024, and the onset of the summer vacation from April 1 to May 31, 2024,” the NCRPO’s advisory states.

The NCRPO said it collaborated with local government units, other law enforcement agencies, and the private sector to create a “comprehensive security framework” that would make sure the holidays will be secure and orderly.

It stressed that “information-sharing mechanisms and joint operations will be paramount to maintaining a vigilant and responsive security machinery.”
