2 women nabbed for trying to sneak P1.3-M shabu inside Antipolo prison
LUCENA CITY — Two women were arrested Tuesday for trying to sneak more than P1.3 million worth of shabu inside the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology facility in Antipolo City, Rizal province.
The Police Region 4A said in a report on Wednesday, March 13, that jail personnel at around 4 p.m. informed the local police anti-narcotics unit that they received a tip that the two women visitors identified as “Saly” and “Kath” were carrying illegal drugs.
When the policemen arrived, they found the visitors already seated at the receiving area of the holding section for male detainees.

The jail personnel invited the women to the search room. During frisking, the authorities found them in possession of two knot-tied plastics of shabu stored inside a condom.

The report did not identify the detainee who was the supposed recipient of the illegal drug.
The police are conducting further investigation to determine the source of the shabu.
The suspects were detained and are facing complaints for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
