Vice President Sara Duterte said on Wednesday that she is praying for the prosperity and success of all Filipino workers.

MANILA, Philippines — Vice President Sara Duterte said on Wednesday that she is praying for the prosperity and success of all Filipino workers.

“Sa pagpupugay na ito, isang panalangin ang aming isinasamo—ang inyong patuloy na pag-unlad at tagumpay,” Duterte said in her Labor Day message.

Duterte hailed the Filipino workers for their hard work and dedication and said that they were the country’s true heroes at this time.

“Saludo kami sa hindi matatawarang sipag at dedikasyon ninyo. Ang bawat araw ninyong pagsusumikap ay aming gabay tungo sa landas ng pag-unlad ng ating bayan,” Duterte said.

“Sa bawat OFW (overseas Filipino worker), medical at security frontliner, community workers, mga guro, at sa lahat ng nagtatrabaho sa ating pampubliko at pribadong sektor ng lipunan, ang inyong kontribusyon ay aming kinikilala at pinahahalagahan. Kayo ang itinuturing na tunay na bayani sa makabagong panahon,” she added.
