Drug suspect busted in Antipolo City, over P1 M shabu seized

MANILA, Philippines — Police arrested a drug suspect and seized over P1 million worth of crystal meth or shabu following a buy-bust operation in Antipolo City Thursday night.

 The Rizal Police Provincial Office reported on Friday reported that Rico Abit, 29, of Quezon City was arrested for selling shabu to an undercover agent in Sitio Culasisi, Barangay San Luis at around 11:00 p.m.

A total of nine packets or 150 grams of shabu worth an estimated P1,020,000 were confiscated from Abit, the police said. 

The suspect was detained at the Antipolo Custodial Facility and will face a formal complaint for violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
