PNP traces from ‘open sources’ people spreading destab ‘rumor’ online

MANILA, Philippines — There is no destabilization plot against government, said Philippine National Police (PNP) on Friday.

PNP Spokesperson Colonel Jean Fajardo made the statement as she branded as false such a rumor circulating online.

“Ang PNP po is closely monitoring developments. (But) sa ngayon po, we are closely coordinating with our counterparts, particularly sa Armed Forces of the Philippines,” she said.

“Pero sa ngayon po, wala po tayong namo-monitor na any destabilization plot po,” Fajardo said.

The spokesperson did not specify the outcome of PNP’s monitoring, but she hinted that some things have come up from out from its probe.

“At sa ngayon po, may mga ilang-ilang na po tayong initial findings po natin,” she said.

(As of today, we already have some initial findings.)

“May nakita naman natin sa open sources kung saan saan nakikita natin itong false and unverified informations,” she said.

(For now, we have initial findings that we see from open courses where we see these false and unverified information.)
