The Social Security System (SSS) will dispose of Unified Multi-Purpose Identification (UMID) cards still unclaimed after Dec. 29, 2023.

The SSS said UMID cards covered by the deadline were those applied for between August 2017 and December 2020.

After Dec. 29, the unclaimed cards, including those returned by the Philippine Postal Corp. to SSS after two failed delivery attempts, will be disposed of.

UMID is a four-in-one card that can be used to transact with SSS, Government Service Insurance System, PhilHealth and Pag-Ibig Fund. —Ian Nicolas P. Cigaral
