House to issue new ‘8’ plates to lawmakers

/ 04:55 AM November 22, 2023

The House of Representatives will issue official “8” plates for its 310 representatives once it has collected all expired and spurious protocol plates from lawmakers.

House secretary general Reginald Velasco hoped that lawmakers would turnover the expired protocol plates bearing the number “8” as soon as possible.

“This was ordered by Speaker Martin Romualdez himself. We want all expired and spurious plates off the road as soon as possible before we issue the new official plates for the 19th Congress,” Velasco said.
