Shabu, gun seized from 4 suspected drug pushers in Cavite, Batangas
LUCENA CITY — Four suspected drug traffickers were arrested on Friday, October 27, in buy-bust operations in Cavite and Batangas provinces and yielded over P306,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) and an illegal firearm, police said.
In a report Saturday, October 27, the Police Region 4A said two alleged pushers, identified by their aliases as “Gil” and “Soha,” were arrested at around 10:40 p.m. by anti-narcotics operatives in Dasmariñas City, Cavite after they sold P8,000 worth of shabu to an undercover police officer in Barangay (village) San Esteban.
Seized from the suspects were three plastic sachets containing shabu weighing 25 grams with an estimated Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) value of P172,500. Also confiscated from the duo were an undocumented .45 caliber pistol, a magazine and two bullets.
The cops also seized a mobile phone from the suspects which will be subjected to digital forensic examinations if they have records of drug transactions.
Meanwhile, in Lipa City, Batangas, police officers collared two drug pushers identified as alias “Precious” and “Allan” in a sting operation in Barangay 11 at around 3:15 p.m.
Article continues after this advertisementThe suspects were caught in alleged possession of eight sachets of meth weighing 19.42 grams with a DDB value of P133,998.
Article continues after this advertisementAll suspects are under police custody and will face a formal complaint for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
The two suspects from Cavite will also face another case for illegal possession of a firearm and violation of the gun ban under the election code which is in effect for the coming barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan (youth council) polls at the end of the month.
