4 ‘high-value’ drug suspects yield P448,000 shabu in Cavite
LUCENA CITY — Police seized more than P448,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) from four alleged high-value illegal drug traffickers in separate buy-bust operations on Tuesday, July 18, in Cavite province.
The Region 4A police reported that Dasmariñas City police and provincial drug enforcers nabbed Norjanah Almasin at 5:40 p.m. after she sold shabu to a poseur buyer in Barangay Salitran II.
Almasin, tagged as a “high-value” target in the government’s anti-drug war, yielded two sachets of meth weighing 50 grams.
The confiscated illegal substance is worth about P345,000 as per the valuation of the Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB).
In Bacoor City, anti-narcotics operatives held Mark Anthony delos Santos, Ian Kenneth Daraman, and Vincent Rivas in another drug sting at 7:20 p.m. in Barangay Molino 4.
Recovered from the suspects, all classified as “high-value” targets, were 15 grams of shabu with a DDB value of P103,500.
The cops also seized a mobile phone from the suspects, which will be subjected to digital forensic examinations if they have records of drug transactions.
Authorities in Dasmariñas and Bacoor were tracking the source of the illegal drugs.
All arrested suspects were detained and are facing charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
