Cavite cops nab 15 drug suspects, seize P836,000 shabu
LUCENA CITY — Police arrested 15 suspected drug traffickers and seized more than P836,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) in separate buy-bust operations on Wednesday and Thursday, in Cavite province.
The Police Region 4A said in a report Thursday that anti-narcotics operatives in Imus City held at 11:40 p.m. March 15 Rhowin del Rosario, Rhon Jacob Hilario, Maria Cristina Quinto, and Reynald Arca in Barangay Medicion 2-F. All were “high-value” targets in the government’s anti-illegal drug war.
Authorities seized from the suspects 105 grams of shabu worth about P714,000 in the Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) valuetion.
In Dasmariñas City, members of the police drug enforcement unit collared Albert Castillanes, Sonny Basallaje, and Ryan Sapao in a sting operation about 2:30 p.m. also on Wednesday in Barangay Sampaloc 4.
The trio, all on the police watchlist, yielded six sachets of shabu with a DDB value of P34,500.
Article continues after this advertisementMeanwhile, Bacoor City police collared around 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday Niño Urgel, Ibnus Miyu, Arnold Nono, Noel Herrero, Eva Santos, and Eduardo Santos in Barangay San Nicolas 3.
Article continues after this advertisementAuthorities confiscated from the suspects, identified drug pushers in the city, eight sachets of shabu worth P54,400 as per DDB valuation.
Bacoor drug enforcers also busted at around 3 a.m. Thursday Renato Conching and Paulo Tambien in Barangay Queensrow East.
The duo, tagged as street-level drug peddlers, were caught in possession of five sachets of shabu with a DDB value of P34,000.
The arrested suspects were detained and are facing complaints of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
