DOH says it’s not endorsing any specific brand of drug for diabetes
MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Health (DOH) on Thursday warned the public against a circulating post claiming that health officials are endorsing a specific brand of diabetes medication.
The DOH said in a statement that they are not endorsing any specific brand of medication.
“The DOH clarifies that no such scenario or endorsement has been made by the department and its officials,” the DOH said in a statement.
Instead, the agency encouraged the public to practice healthy habits and lifestyles to avoid diabetes.
“Further, the Department reminds everyone that non-communicable diseases and comorbidities such as diabetes can be prevented by practicing healthy habits and a healthy lifestyle. Be sure to regularly have check-ups and consult your physician to help supplement and keep sickness at bay,” it added.
