2 held with over P30,000 worth of shabu, marijuana in Bicol

Authorities arrest two suspected drug personalities in separate operations in Albay and Camarines Sur provinces on March 7, 2023.

LEGAZPI CITY — Authorities arrested on Tuesday two suspected drug personalities and recovered shabu (crystal meth) and marijuana worth more than P30,000 in the Bicol region.

Lieutenant Colonel Maria Luisa Calubaquib, Bicol police spokesperson, reported on Wednesday, March 22, that Arnold Arengo, 25, was arrested at 11:25 p.m. in Barangay Gadgaron in Matnog town in Sorsogon.

Calubaquib said four grams of shabu worth P27,200 were confiscated from Arengo, who was a newly identified drug suspect.

In Basud town in Camarines Norte, Mark Dela Punta was collared at 10:06 p.m. Three sachets of marijuana worth P10,000 were seized from the suspect.
