MANILA, Philippines — Although it remained at a low level, the seven-day COVID-19 positivity rate in Metro Manila increased from 1.8 to 2.1 percent between March 1 and March 8, the Octa Research Group said Friday.

Octa Research fellow Guido David, in a social media post, noted that despite the uptick in the positivity rate, it remained below five percent, which is the World Health Organization’s threshold indicating containment of the coronavirus.
