P13.9-M ‘shabu’ seized from lone suspect in Bulacan

MARILAO, Bulacan — Police seized about P13.9 million worth of illegal drugs from a suspected big-time dealer during a buy-bust operation on Wednesday, Jan. 25, in this town.

Bulacan police director Colonel Relly Arnedo said Marlon Palmario, 44, of Novaliches, Quezon City, was caught at 11:20 p.m. selling a transparent plastic sachet of “shabu” (crystal meth) worth P13,940,000 to an undercover agent in Barangay Loma De Gato.

Confiscated from Palmario were two packs of alleged high-grade shabu in a Chinese tea bag. The drug haul was about 2,050 grams.

Police also recovered the buy-bust money used in the operation.

The suspect and the illegal drugs were brought to the Bulacan Provincial Forensic Unit for examination.

Complaints of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are being readied against the suspect, according to the police.
