MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) on Wednesday said the country may generally see fair weather conditions in the next few days.

This is because there are no longer any low-pressure areas (LPA) within and outside the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR).

According to the state weather bureau, one of the two LPAs it has been monitoring had left the PAR while the other already dissipated.

“Sa ngayon ay wala naman tayong low pressure area na binabantayan o namamataan sa loob at labas ng ating Philippine area of responsibility na maaring makaapekto sa atin sa mga susunod na araw kaya naman generally magiging maaliwalas na rin ang panahon sa malaking bahagi ng bansa, maliban na lang sa southern Luzon areas sa mga susunod na araw,” said Pagasa weather forecaster Patrick Del Mundo.

(For now, we are not monitoring or seeing any low pressure area inside or outside the Philippine area of responsibility that can affect us in the coming days, that is why generally weather will be good over a large part of the country, except southern Luzon areas, in the next few days.)

But Pagasa also said the shear line will still affect parts of Luzon on Wednesday, bringing overcast skies and rain in Metro Manila, Calabarzon, Bicol Region, Nueva Ecija, Bulacan, and Aurora.

Apayao and Cagayan Valley will also experience cloudy skies and rain due to the northeast monsoon, locally known as amihan, Pagasa added.

Also due to the northeast monsoon, the state weather service hoisted a gale warning over the seaboards of Batanes, Cagayan including Babuyan Islands, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, Pangasinan, La Union, Isabela, Aurora, northern Quezon, and Camarines Norte, as well as on the northern coast of Camarines Sur, and northern and eastern coasts of Catanduanes.

Meanwhile, Pagasa said temperatures will be between 15 and 32 degrees Celsius around the country this Wednesday. Specifically:
