MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Transportation (DOTr) on Friday said the free rides in the Edsa bus carousel will begin on December 15 until December 31.

Transport Secretary Jaime Bautista said this program was done to help the commuters who are mostly reeling from high food and fuel prices due to inflation.

The “Libreng Sakay” program of the DOTr currently runs from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.

The program for the Edsa Bus Carousel is set to expire by the end of the year and will not be extended due to the lack of budget.
