Expect rain in several areas of PH on Tuesday — Pagasa

MANILA, Philippines — Overcast skies and rain are forecast over parts of the country on Tuesday due to the Southwesterly Surface Windflow, said the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).

“Bukas ng Martes meron pa rin tayong mararanasang kalat kalat na pagulan, pagkulog, at pagkidlat sa bahagi ng Palawan, and also sa bahagi rin ng Occidental Mindoro,” said Pagasa weather specialist Grace Castañeda

(Tomorrow on Tuesday, we will still experience scattered rain, thunder, and lightning in the part of Palawan and also in the part of Occidental Mindoro.)

“Samantala sa Metro Manila at nalalabing bahagi ng bansa ay magiging bahagyang maulap hanggang maulap ang kalangitan o generally fair weather conditions ang mararanasan maliban na lang sa isolated na pagulan dulot ng localized thunderstorms,” she added.

(Meanwhile, in Metro Manila and the rest of the country, the sky will be partly cloudy to cloudy, or generally, fair weather conditions will be experienced except for isolated rain caused by localized thunderstorms.)

Meanwhile, scattered rain showers are also forecast in Western and Central Visayas, as well as in the Zamboanga Peninsula, Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi in Mindanao.

On the other hand, the rest of Visayas and Mindanao will have relatively fairer weather, but rain due to localized thunderstorms should still be expected.

According to Castañeda, no weather disturbances are currently within the Philippine area of responsibility, but a cloud cluster in the east of Visayas and Mindanao is currently being monitored in case it forms into a low-pressure area.

Gale warning also remains raised along the Northern and Western seaboards of Northern Luzon, specifically on the coasts of Batanes, Babuyan Islands, Ilocos Norte, and Ilocos Sur.
