6 dead in fire

MANILA, Philippines –  Six persons, including three children, were killed after their house in Barangay (village) Pasong Tamo in Quezon City caught fire early Saturday.

The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) said the fire reached the first alarm at 1:54 a.m. before it was put out at 3:20 a.m.

According to the Quezon City Police District, the identities of those killed in the fire have yet to be determined.

“BFP personnel and volunteers immediately proceeded in the area to respond to the incident and fortunately were able to control the spread of fire and declared fire out… However [they] later discovered the six lifeless bodies of victims,” the QCPD said in a report.

The cause of the fire is also still under investigation, the QCPD added in its report.
