No PNR trips on all routes on Monday due to Karding

MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine National Railways (PNR) will not run any trains on all its routes on Monday due to the onslaught of Typhoon Karding (internationally known as Noru), according to an advisory it issued Sunday night.

PNR said it would release updates as to the resumption of its trains.

As of this writing, Karding is now in the vicinity of Nueva Ecija, with maximum sustained winds of 175 kilometers per hour (kph) and a gustiness of up to 290 kph, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
