MANILA, Philippines – The Department of Health (DOH) logged 1,709 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, raising the total number of cases to 24,139.

Nationwide, the country has so far recorded 3,911,487 cases, with 62,416 documented deaths, according to the updated DOH updated COVID-19 Tracker.

The bed occupancy rates for both intensive care unit (ICU) and non-ICU beds are at 27.5%, with 12.71% of mechanical ventilators occupied.

Meanwhile, 71,523,190 million people have completed their COVID-19 vaccinations, with 18,685,247 having received their booster shots.

The latest figures were recorded after President Ferdinand Marcos issued an executive order making it optional to wear a face mask outdoors.
