MANILA, Philippines — A magnitude 4.4 earthquake hit Davao Occidental on Wednesday, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).
Phivolcs detected the earthquake at 4:54 p.m. and located its epicenter 133 kilometers southeast of Jose Abad Santos, Davao Occidental.

The tectonic earthquake’s depth of focus was 36 kilometers.
No intensities were reported, and no aftershocks and damages are expected, Phivolcs said.
