Nine die of COVID-19 in Pampanga in six days
MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga — Nine patients died from COVID-19 complications in different parts of this province in the last six days, data from the provincial epidemiology and surveillance unit showed.
The provincial government’s latest bulletin on September 10 showed that the City of San Fernando had the most fatalities at three, followed by Arayat and Lubao towns with two each, and Mabalacat City and Floridablanca town with a single fatality each.
So far, at least 2,655 people in Pampanga have died due to the viral disease.
Since the pandemic broke out in 2020, the province has recorded a total of 60,563 COVID-19 cases, of which 57,696 have recovered.
Of Pampanga’s two component cities and 19 municipalities, three are already free of COVID-19. These include the towns of Masantol, Sasmuan, and San Simon.
