Pampanga capital’s active COVID-19 cases down to 40

MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga – The active COVID-19 cases in the City of San Fernando went down to 40 on Friday, September 9, from the 71 recorded a week ago.

The capital city registered eight new cases, 23 recoveries, and zero deaths on Friday, the city government said. Only 18 of its 35 villages have active COVID-19 cases.

San Agustin village has the most active cases at six, followed by Maimpis and Saguin with five cases each, and San Jose with four.

San Fernando has recorded a total of 15,554 COVID-19 cases since the pandemic broke out in 2020. Of these cases, 15,153 have recovered while 351 have died.

Here in Mabalacat City, the active cases stood at seven.

Meanwhile, this city registered zero new cases, three recoveries, and no deaths on Friday.

Since 2020, the city government here has recorded a total of 9,223 COVID-19 cases, of which 8,973 have recovered and 243 have died.
