13 arrested, P205 K shabu seized in Rizal drug busts
LUCENA CITY – Police seized more than P205,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) from 13 drug suspects in buy-bust operations in Cainta and Antipolo, Rizal on Saturday, September 10.
The Region 4A police reported that Cainta anti-illegal drug operatives collared Jojo Marquez, John Lloyd Balleran, Christopher Corpin, Mary Derica Robledo, Sonny Data, Justin Falcon, Celestian Foronda, Niño Jose Navales, Grace Merez and Edrich Jake Rivas in Barangay San Isidro at around 10:20 p.m.
The police confiscated 15 grams of shabu in 20 sachets worth an estimated P102,000 and various drug-using items.
In Antipolo City, authorities busted Reynaldo Maasin, Pearly Jane dela Cruz and Eda Carumba in another drug sting around 4:38 p.m. in Barangay Sta. Cruz.
The suspects yielded shabu worth some P103, 000. Police also found the suspects in possession of a loaded homemade shotgun.
The suspects are under police custody and will face appropriate formal complaints. charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
