Nograles secures CA confirmation as CSC chair
MANILA, Philippines — The ad-interim appointment of Karlo Nograles as chairman of the Civil Service Commission (CSC) has been confirmed by the Commission on Appointments (CA).
On Wednesday, the CA Committee on Constitutional Commissions and Offices examined Nograles’ designation and ultimately recommended his confirmation.
The CA later approved the recommendation at the plenary.
Following the CA’s confirmation, Nograles’ term as CSC chair will lapse on February 2, 2029.
President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. chose Nograles to lead the CSC.
The administration of former President Rodrigo Duterte appointed Nograles as CSC chair.
His confirmation, however, was bypassed due to lack of quorum.
