LUCENA CITY — Two men were killed in separate shooting incidents Wednesday in Rodriguez town in Rizal province.
The Region 4A police said in an initial report on Thursday, September 1, that Rez Leonor was drinking at a birthday party in Barangay San Jose when an unidentified gunman barged in and repeatedly shot him at 9:25 p.m. Leonor died on the spot while the killer escaped.
Two hours later, an unknown assailant shot and killed Nemencio Timonera, who was traveling aboard his motorcycle in Barangay Macabud.
The gunman fled, leaving his target dead.
The police are investigating the incident further to unmask the two assailants and establish the motives behind the killings.
