‘Habagat’ rains expected over northern, central Luzon — Pagasa
MANILA, Philippines — The southwest monsoon or “habagat” will continue to affect northern and central Luzon on Tuesday, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
“Yung habagat o southwest monsoon ay patuloy pa rin na nakakaapekto doon po sa northern Luzon at central Luzon, kaya makaka-asa pa rin tayo ng pag-ulan dulot nito,” said Pagasa weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio in the bureau’s public weather forecast.
(The habagat or southwest monsoon will continue to affect northern Luzon and central Luzon, so we can still expect rain).
According to Pagasa, the southwest monsoon will bring cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over the Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, Aurora, Zambales and Bataan.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country can expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms, either caused by the southwest monsoon or localized thunderstorms, according to Pagasa.
