VP Sara Duterte calls on Filipinos to face 2025 with hope

MANILA, Philippines — In her New Year message, Vice President Sara Duterte called on Filipinos to face 2025 with the hope that all the challenges and efforts of the past year will lead to positive change.

“I remain united with you in your aspirations for progress and peace. Let us face the new year with the hope that all our hardships and efforts from the past will bring about positive change,” she said in Cebuano.

She also said that the year 2024 tested Filipinos’ resilience and shaped a nation that stands for justice and progress

“In 2025, let us face together the various challenges that will strengthen us as a nation that continues to trust in God and work together for the advancement and welfare of our families,” she added.

She also thanked Filipinos for their unwavering love for the country demonstrated through hard work, perseverance, and determination to create a better future.
