LEGAZPI CITY — Three persons died while undetermined number of passengers were injured when a private utility jeepney fell into a cliff in Baao town in Camarines Sur province on Tuesday (August 9).
Vincent Paz, head of Baao town disaster risk reduction and management office, said based on the initial report, the incident happened in Barangay (village) San Vicente at around 12:30 p.m.
Report said the driver lost control of the vehicle.
Paz said that more than 20 passengers onboard were about to attend a wedding in the nearby town.
The injured victims were taken to different hospitals for treatment.
Names of the fatalities and injured were not public as of this writing.
