7 nabbed as more than P1.2 million ‘shabu’, guns seized in Bataan, Pampanga
MANILA, Philippines — Seven people were arrested as more than P1.2 million worth of crystal meth or shabu were confiscated in separate buy-bust operations in the provinces of Bataan and Pampanga, the police said Thursday.
The Police Regional Office 3 said John Kevin Manla, 30, Jayson Paguio, 24, Jerry Monla, 54, Mateo Aquino, 24, and Jiezl Angeles, 29, were collared in Orion, Bataan after they yielded suspected shabu valued at P400,000.
Also confiscated from them were a caliber .45 firearm with one magazine and seven live ammunition, and a caliber .22 firearm.
On the other hand, an anti-narcotics operation in Mabalacat City, Pampanga, resulted in the arrest of Sadam Bertudan, 27, and Jemaimah Datu, 31.
Eight sachets of suspected shabu amounting to P884,000 were seized from the drug suspects.
Article continues after this advertisementFormal complaints for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are being readied against all arrested individuals, while the suspects arrested in Bataan will also face a separate complaint for violating the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act, according to police.
