MANILA, Philippines — Despite the presence of two low pressure areas (LPA), the entire country is expected to have fair weather on Thursday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.

The two LPAs were spotted off Luzon — one 335 kilometers west of Sinait, Ilocos Sur, and the other 575 kilometers east-northeast of Itbayat, Batanes.

The two LPAs will not affect the country’s weather, according to Pagasa weather specialist Daniel James Villamil.

He said the LPA off Ilocos Sur was expected to dissipate within 24 hours. But the LPA off Batanes had a slim chance of becoming a typhoon in the next 24 hours.

The entire country is expected to have fair weather with partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.

Pagasa did not raise a gale warning to any seaboards nationwide.
