4 drug suspects nabbed, P35,000 shabu seized in Bicol stings
LEGAZPI CITY—Anti-narcotics men arrested four suspected drug personalities in separate operations Tuesday in Sorsogon, Camarines Sur and Catanduanes provinces, police reports said on Wednesday, July 6.
In Sorsogon City, Roger Labtic, 44, was arrested in a buy-bust operation at around 11 p.m. in Barangay Abuyog, East District.
Major Maria Luisa Calubaquib, Bicol police spokesperson, said authorities recovered a sachet of shabu (crystal meth) worth P3,000.
In Barangay Pangpang, West District, Gene Manuel Hidalgo, 36, was also arrested in another buy-bust at 5:15 p.m.
Recovered from Hidalgo were .35 grams of shabu worth P2,000.

Calubaquib said Ronald Buenaflor, 43, was arrested in a search operation in Barangay Villaflorida in Ocampo, Camarines Sur at 3:10 p.m.
Police confiscated a caliber .38 gun and 13 sachets of shabu worth P5,712.
Catanduanes
Anti-narcotics operatives arrested a suspected drug personality and seized P25,840 worth of shabu in a search operation in Viga town in Catanduanes.
Calubaquib said Jose Atijano Jr., 46, was arrested in Barangay Botinagan at 4:20 a.m.
Authorities confiscated eight sachets or .38 grams of shabu from the suspect’s room. Calubaquib said the suspect was on the illegal drugs watch list.
The suspects are under police custody and facing charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Buenaflor will also face another charge for violating the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.
